What type of coatings do we offer?
UV Coating:
UV coating is used to provide the highest amount of gloss to the finished product. It also has some protectant qualities. When the UV coating is applied through an offline process, it improves the durability of the product. It also makes your cards look better via the super high gloss finish.
NOTE: You CANNOT write, print or stamp on UV coating.
Matte Aqueous Coating:
Our Matte Aqueous finish is velvety smooth, and is done within the printing process, Inline, flood coated on the press. It provides a dull/satin surface that protects the finish of your product from scratches, dirt and fingerprints.
Gloss Aqueous Coating:
This type of inline coating is mainly used on brochure and poster printing it provides a medium gloss finish which protects the printing from scratches, dirt and fingerprints.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As with most coatings, writing, printing and stamping is not guaranteed to work. The customer is completely responsible for testing the product prior to placing the order. Smart Levels Media will not reprint or refund a product due to the application of any substance to the final product by the customer.
